Job description
Maintenance SupervisorThe Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance activities and operations are smoothly conducted and that all facilities' systems are functioning appropriately. Follow all plant standard operating procedures. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance staff, and any corrective or preventative maintenance procedures within the plant on the night shift. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.Supervising and performing highly diversified duties concerning production and facility and installing and maintaining facility grounds, buildings, and other facility equipment.Supervising installing and replacing motors, pumps, drives, belts, filters, gears, chains, and valves on process equipment, facility equipment, and forklifts.Overseeing repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement, and breakdowns due to mechanical wear.Assigning team members preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment.Providing leadership for Maintenance technicians performing preventative maintenance, equipment installs, parts replacement, equipment troubleshooting, etc.Understanding the tools and equipment needed to do each job.Understanding and determining when and what type of maintenance is needed.Determining causes of operating errors and can tell when something is likely to go wrong before downtime occurs.Keeping records of all work performed.Updating maintenance history logs and completing required paperwork.Accounting for equipment used for maintenance and repairs.Understanding and following the company GMP policy.Understanding and following the company safety rules.May be required to work long hours and weekends as needed.Other duties and projects as needed.High School Diploma or equivalent certification.Strong electrical, welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC experience.Ability to speak, read, and write English.Good verbal and written communication skills.Must be well-organized with good attention to detail.Display a strong work ethic and positive attitude.Adaptable and dependable with the ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with others.Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.Prior rendering experience preferred.Analytical skills.Manufacturing experience.Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.Occasionally required to push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.Regularly required reach with hands and arms.Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begins the first day of the month after 30 days of employment.Paid Time Off vacation and company-observed holidays.401(k): Company match starts after the first year of service and follows the Company vesting schedule.Competitive Base Salary.Employee Meat purchase discounts.Education Reimbursement for you.Free tuition for your dependents.Growth opportunities into different roles and functions.Childcare Assistant.This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus plan; the bonus amount varies based on your individual and GOP's performance.
