We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Maintenance Electrician to join our team.Job OverviewAs a Maintenance Electrician at our aerospace manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. Your expertise in control panels, PLCs, and troubleshooting will be essential in maintaining the high standards of quality and efficiency that our industry demands.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in our manufacturing facilityConduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenanceTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in various systems, including control panels, motors, and PLCsRead and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsProgram and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated systemsDesign, install, and modify control panels for various manufacturing processesEnsure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policiesCollaborate with other maintenance teams and production staff to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performanceMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment historyParticipate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancementsRespond to emergency calls and perform repairs during off-hours when necessaryAssist in the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and process improvementsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentJourneyman Electrician certification or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance electricianProficiency in working with control panels, PLCs, and troubleshooting complex electrical systemsStrong knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, and componentsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentationExperience with industrial automation systems and equipmentFamiliarity with NFPA 70E and other relevant electrical safety standardsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededPreferred:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldAdditional certifications such as Master Electrician or Industrial ElectricianExperience in aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of energy management systems and practices
