Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the repair and quality maintenance of a safe, efficient and inviting facility and grounds. The position demands good physical and mental health. The Maintenance technician will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule including weekends. Must be able to move continuously during work hours and be able to lift and/or carry 50 - 75 pounds.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance in a thorough and timely manner.
Perform general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading, moving materials and running errands to support projects.
Maintain, replace, and properly dispose of light bulbs to ensure safe lighting.
Prepare for and participate in health, fire, and safety inspections. Perform follow-up tasks as needed/recommended. Maintain proper documentation and submit inspection reports to the Director of Building Services.
Perform regular scheduled inspections of building and grounds to ensure standards are maintained including maintenance, repairs, safety, and general clean up
Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner as designated by Director of Building Services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions/problem solving in standard situations
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to read, write, comprehend verbal and written instructions, and basic analytical skills
Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
