Position Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Alpharetta, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Facilities & Operations
Position Overview: A growing industrial facility in the Alpharetta area is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations. This hands-on role is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Duties
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems and production equipment
Identify and resolve issues related to electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Service HVAC units, lighting systems, and general infrastructure
Respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs and after-hours calls as required
Maintain accurate service logs and repair documentation
Follow all safety standards and internal procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Use various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Support facility improvements, equipment installations, and renovation projects
Coordinate with third-party service providers for specialized repairs and upgrades
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications or vocational training a plus)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility or equipment maintenance
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Ability to interpret technical documents including blueprints and manuals
Experience with digital maintenance tracking systems is preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset
Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces
Comfortable working in environments with temperature changes, dust, and noise
