American SeawayFoods, a Giant Eagle warehouse in Bedford, OH, has both a groceryand perishable area. The grocery area is ambient temperature;
theperishable area is kept at 36 degrees year-round. This facility isresponsible for selecting and distributing products to 157 companystore locations. JobDescription
WarehouseMaintenance Technicians are responsible for repairing all of theequipment within the building and preforming all buildingmaintenance functions. They make sure everything is operating in asafe and efficient manner. In this role, you will maintain,schedule maintenance, and assist in repairing warehouseequipment.

JobRequirements
ExperienceRequired: 1 to 3 years
Experience Desired:Plumbing, Electric, HVAC, mechanical repair;
must have own toolset
Education Desired: High school diploma orequivalent
Licensing Required: Valid Driver'sLicense
Lifting Requirement: Up to 100pounds
Age Requirement: At least 18 years ofage
JobResponsibilities
Always maintainsafety as a top priority.
Repair and performpreventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipmentincluding forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
Visually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment usingelectrical, electronic testing equipment and handtools.
Listen and observe operation ofmachines and equipment to detect malfunctions and diagnoseproblems.
Install, program and repairautomated machinery and equipment.
Designmachine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools and improves existingefficiencies.
Maintain and repair building andgrounds using hand and power tools, hoists andcranes.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings,gears and other machine parts using pressure washer, brushes,grease gun and gear lubricant dispenser.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and relatedequipment.
Operate cutting torch and weldingequipment to cut or join metal parts.
Assemble, install and maintain pipe system and related hydraulicand pneumatic equipment.
Maintain a safe,clean work area.
Remodeling and newconstruction of existing facilities.
Abilityto read and understand blueprints, wire schematics and technicalmanuals.
Maintain detailed summary sheets oftasks performed regarding preventative maintenance, diagnoses ofproblems and repairs performed on equipment.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed andassigned.

The hiring range for this position is$26.00– $28.50 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipatedbase pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determinedbased on factors such as experience, skills, education, andlocation. Eligible employees may be offered health, vision, anddental insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirementsavings plan, bonus potential, paid bereavement, vacation and paidholidays.
