Maintenance Technician GroundskeeperTo perform skilled & semi-skilled work in one or more of the building trades in the alteration, repair, upkeep, and remodeling of building, grounds, facilities and equipment under direction or general supervision to help maintain attractive, properly functioning school facilities and equipment.High School Diploma or equivalentDesire to learn the trade and further knowledge through off duty study and trade school/courses.Able to climb and work from ladders or scaffolding and carry heavy objects.Must be willing to work in undesirable locations.Must be able to follow both written and oral instructions and carry out assignments on time.Able to work well with others.Must have a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle operator's license.Perform or assume lead responsibilities in skilled maintenance work.Follow written and oral instructions in an effective and efficient manner.Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor on a daily basis regarding work orders, safety issues, repairs, etc. to complete work based on priority of need.Use of personal cell phone for multi factor authentication.Ability to accurately maintain equipment inventory and history records.Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and to present facts clearly, both orally and in writing.Ability to properly use hand tools and power equipment used in the trade.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.Ability to work in confined spaces and to work from ladders or elevated platforms.Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities; walking; standing kneeling; negotiating stairs and ladders, lift and transport heavy objects.The usual and customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands: lifting, pushing, carrying, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; stooping; kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing.This job will require working out of a service vehicle and working outdoors in all conditions.This job requires working at heights both on roofs and in aerial lifting equipment and in other potentially hazardous conditions.Regularly, reliably and predictably reports to work.Travels to school district buildings.Works in standard office and school building environments.Use of personal cell phone for multi-factor authentication.Regularly, reliably and predictably reports to work on timeOperate Equipment (Skid Steer loader / excavator)Maintain / Service EquipmentBasic plumbing (underground) and irrigationBasic Welding and Metal workConcrete
