Job description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
A Maintenance Technician at SET Environmental is responsible for:
Troubleshooting facility and production issues due to maintenance or repairs required
Coordinating maintenance activities with operations to maximize productivity and minimize downtime of critical equipment
Performing maintenance on light equipment as needed
Adhering to the Preventive Maintenance program
Performing weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks on various equipment throughout the production areas of the plant
Operate a forklift
Manage tools; maintain in neat and orderly fashion
Identify situations for initiating the contingency plan and notifying a manager
Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma, or equivalent preferred
Ability to keep and maintain all licenses/certifications current (i.e. 40-hour HAZWOPER, Driver's License, Forklift)
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly
Ability to climb up and down ladders
Maintenance or mechanical experience
General "fix-it" know-how
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to take direction
Ability to wear proper PPE and to determine proper usage in different situations
Professionalism required at all times
