Job description
Maintenance Technician
JD Laser, Inc. has an immediate opening for a first shift Maintenance Technician at our Jackson, Wisconsin location. Hours would be 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The ideal candidate would possess the following:
Thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
Ability to perform preventative maintenance duties on equipment as required and maintains competent knowledge of equipment, operations and processes throughout the plant
Capable of addressing minor repairs and coordinating more significant repairs with fellow maintenance personnel and/or external services as needed
General computer use knowledge – keeps documents/records of all maintenance performed, as it occurs
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time, squat/kneel, climb stairs/ladders, operating equipment/power tools, and able to grip/grasp/pinch and reach overhead, as required
Assist in keeping our shop environment clean, organized and efficient, ensuring tools and equipment are in their designated places and ready for use
Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required.
