Location: Phoenix, Arizona

General Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for participating in highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.
Location & Shift:
This is an on-site position located at 2019 W. Quail Ave, Phoenix Arizona. Responsibilities are for the Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM-4:30PM production shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
Orders supplies, materials and tools.
Estimates materials and cost to accomplish a task.
Reads manuals and diagrams in order to plan material and labor needed to accomplish a task.
Inspects buildings in order to determine maintenance needs by visual observation, gages, meters and other testing devices.
Operates machines and other equipment to observer operation and diagnose malfunctions or to test repaired equipment.
Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facilities equipment.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting in order to repair production machines.
Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts and makes adjustments to machines.
Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters in order to test and repair equipment.
Complies with safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Performs facilities maintenance and repairs as needed.
Uses computer to send email and do internet research.
Skills/Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of electric motors, pumps, pressure systems and other equipment of the maintenance trades.
Extensive knowledge of the principles of mechanical equipment design and fabrication.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Ability to operate forklift and scissor lift.
Ability to plan and design projects, and work from sketches, blueprints and manuals.
Ability to read, write and speak English
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and climb a 12 foot step ladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to adjust focus.
