Job description
Maintenance Tech (Class 4)
Primary Goals and Responsibilities:
Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades
Maintains tools and materials supply
Cleans work area, machines and/or equipment
Assists general maintenance workers by holding materials or tools or performing other tasks as directed
Other duties as assigned
Role Requirements:
Experienced in industrial safety practices.
Has manufacturing plant experience
Can read layout drawings
Has 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
Working Conditions:
Required to communicate in an industrial setting at a moderate noise level.
Required to stand and walk on a concrete surface for 8 hours per day.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust for focus.
Work Environment:
Moving mechanical parts
Noise levels moderate to loud
Non-climate control facility environment
Employee may be required to work above ground level or in small work areas
