Maintenance Technician
1st shift Shop Maintenance Technician needed in Shelby Township starting at $26/hr.
The client is a multiple process machining supplier to a wide range of Tier 1 and Tier 2 transportation industry customers producing parts in both in low and in high volumes. Maintenance Technician Details:
Temp-to-Hire position
$ 26.00 / hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)
The Machine Shop Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of computer numerical control (CNC) machines in a manufacturing facility.
Performing regular maintenance on CNC machines involves inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machines to ensure they operate efficiently and accurately.
Diagnosing and repairing machine problems identifying and troubleshooting issues with CNC machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software-related problems.
Conducting preventive maintenance.
Keeping records of machine maintenance by documenting maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used to maintain an accurate maintenance history.
Ordering and stocking machine parts ensuring that necessary parts are ordered and stocked to minimize machine downtime.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
Experience in maintenance and repair of CNC Lathe, Mill, Grinders, Hydraulic Broach, Saw machines, Overhead crane, Forklift and miscellaneous equipment.
Familiarity with various CNC software interfaces, such as FANUC and SIEMENS
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
