Job Title: Maintenance Technician - VA
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Stafford, VA
Job Type: Full-time/Exempt
Business Hours: 4 PM~ 5 days/week, 8hrs/day, Rotate off day
Pay Range: $30/hr
Start: August 2026

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production equipment and facility systems in compliance with Company, USDA, and FDA standards. This role supports equipment reliability, preventive maintenance programs, food safety, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with company policies and environmental and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Start up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production machinery and equipment
Respond promptly to maintenance calls and equipment issues on production lines
Perform preventive maintenance on machines, pumps, motors, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility systems
Diagnose equipment failures, complete repairs, and conduct basic root cause analysis to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot worn parts and rebuild machine assemblies, pumps, valves, cylinders, and actuators as needed
Utilize mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC troubleshooting skills
Complete work orders in a timely manner and maintain accurate maintenance records
Monitor spare parts inventory and report usage and re-order needs to management
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while properly maintaining tools and equipment
Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, or accidents
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required High school diploma or GED
2+ years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing environment
English proficiency in both oral and written
Strong ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems on production equipment
Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
Proficiency with welding, fabrication, and the safe use of hand and power tools
Experience with packaging, conveyor, processing, and automated production equipment
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing systems
Actively listens and communicates clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms, adapting to the audience as needed
Ability to maintain consistent performance in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Ability to work onsite (remote work is not an option)
Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt to change and learn quickly
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time the employment begins and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred Maintenance experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or industrial production environment.
Work Environment and Workplace: Work is primarily performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, including kitchen, manufacturing, and warehouse settings.
The role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, regular exposure to conditions such as hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and confined spaces depending on job duties
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high
The work environments may include exposure to food ingredients and cleaning agents
Physical Requirement:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must be able to: Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or move for extended periods
Perform repetitive hand and arm movements to operate food processing, packaging, or sanitation equipment
Safely handle raw materials, ingredients, finished products, and packaging materials in a production setting
Lift, transport, maneuver materials or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently to access materials, equipment, and work areas
Maintain visual acuity to read labels, monitors, safety indicators, and production instructions
Safely operate motorized vehicles or equipment within the facility as needed
Ability to differentiate between color-coded materials used in sorting, labeling, or quality verification processes (if applicable)
Communicate effectively using speech, written language, hearing, and visual observation in person, by phone, and via virtual platforms
