Arbour Hospital Maintenance Worker
Arbour Hospital is an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. At Arbour Hospital, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for inspecting different equipment, perform basic repairs and carry out preventative maintenance when required. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position with a Monday - Friday schedule.

A supportive and collaborative team environment
Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment. Performs preventative maintenance. Handles basic repairs and maintenance. Oversees contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Diagnoses mechanical issues and corrects them. Repairs machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Qualifications Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D is required. Proven maintenance experience. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices. Experience performing routine maintenance. Strong organizational and follow up skills. Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
