Maintenance WorkerThe Leaguers, Incorporated is seeking full-time and part-time maintenance workers for its Head Start and Early Head Start Centers. A maintenance worker will provide custodial and minor maintenance for program centers, inclusive of classrooms, offices, and common areas.Duties and responsibilities include daily cleaning of program centers, inclusive of classrooms, bathrooms, offices, playgrounds, and common areas; maintaining utilities, equipment, fixtures, and materials for the facility and grounds; and ensuring that the center meets licensing standards at all times and is a safe and hazard-free environment for children.Qualifications preferably include a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of custodial experience; knowledge of minor repairs; and scheduling flexibility to include availability to perform occasional emergency services outside of assigned work hours.Salary is $19.42 hourly.Program locations include Newark, Irvington, and Union County.Full-time fringe benefit package includes health, dental and life insurance, 403-B retirement plan, twelve month position, sick and personal days, paid holidays, winter and spring recess, state-of-the-art classrooms, and professional training.Application procedure requires all interested candidates to apply online.
