Maintenance Worker I - Right of Way Mowing CrewTitle: Maintenance Worker I - Right of Way Mowing CrewDepartment: Public WorksSalary Range: $16.75 hourlyFull Time/Part Time: Full TimeDescriptionPerforms yard maintenance such as cutting grass, edging, weeding, laying sod, spreading grass seed and fertilizing.Maintain Right of WaysOther duties as assigned.Preferred candidate will have higher level of experience with a zero-turn mower, weed trimmer and edger.Irrigation and tree trim/grounds cleanup experience is desired.An equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered for minimum requirements.Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.Ability to read and write neatly.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.Ability to develop and maintain good personal relationship with other employees and the public.Ability to follow and apply common sense understanding, to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.Ability to work independently and in a diligent manner.Ability to use various hand and power tools related to the job.Good physical condition is essential.
