Lake Maintenance WorkerStarting Salary: $11 (a bonus may be awarded for those who stay the entire season)About this PositionThe seasonal Lake Maintenance Worker assists with construction, grounds maintenance, sanitation, and lake maintenance for the lake area, parks, access roads, trails, and campgrounds. Employment lasts 6 months and may be terminated earlier if services are no longer required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent or be a current high school studentAt least 16 years of ageValid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrierResponsibilitiesPerform custodial duties in all areas of parksRemove full trash can bags, place in dumpster, and replace with a new linerCollect ground litter and place in trash receptaclesWash and clean public rest roomsRemove ashes and fire residues from fireplaces, fire rings, and charcoal grillsOperate power equipment and hand toolsSubmit service interval information to supervisor in a timely and accurate mannerNecessary SkillsAbility and willingness to work outdoors, potentially during inclement weather and intense heatAbility to meet the required physical standards for this positionAbility to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug testBenefitsA tangible impact to the department and residents in the City of EdmondA dynamic and inclusive environment where your contributions are valuedApplications will be accepted until positions are filled.
