Job Title : Maintenance Worker
Location : Tampa, FL (near Oldsmar)
Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay : $25- $28 per hour
Position Summary
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance tasks to keep machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility structures in proper working condition. This role requires hands-on experience across multiple trades, including mechanical repair, basic electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Use a variety of hand and power tools, including hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools; reassemble equipment after repairs.
Diagnose mechanical issues and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
Order parts, supplies, and equipment from suppliers or retrieve them from storerooms.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, plumbing systems, machinery, and equipment.
Serve as a backup for other maintenance functions as needed.
Operate heavy machinery safely while using required PPE, including steel-toe safety boots.
Qualifications
1-3 years of maintenance experience required (industrial, mechanical, or facility maintenance).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or welding is a plus.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials and equipment as needed.
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
Work Environment
This role involves physical labor, working around machinery, and performing tasks both indoors and outdoors. Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
