Job description
Maintenance WorkerThe purpose of this position is to repair and maintain grounds and facilities as part of a team for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished by monitoring facilities for cleanliness; providing grounds maintenance; preserving quality road conditions; repairing and maintaining structures, buildings, and fences, and assisting with new construction projects on BRA property. Other responsibilities include landscaping; mowing; trimming trees; repairing and replacing pipes; providing general maintenance services as needed; serving as backup convenience station operator; and any other duties as assignedMinimum one year experience or equivalent combination of educationValid Texas Class C Driver's License and Good Driving RecordHigh School Diploma - Awarded for the completion of High School.Demonstrating self-motivation; effective performance is driven from within rather than being conditional on pressure from external factors (e.g. boss, peers, subordinates, deadlines, crises, etc.).Acquiring and demonstrating knowledge of safety and health procedures as they relate to the human resources of the organization and the protection of property.Creating honest, trusting, and successful working relationships with others (inside and outside the organization) by consistently demonstrating competence and reliability in job performance, and representing what is best about the organization through demonstrated principles, actions, and communications...Working with others to share expertise and achieve outcomes that benefit the organization; stepping in to fill necessary roles that others are unable or unwilling to do; demonstrating strong communication skills to others on the team through active listening, summarizing, facilitating and "bridge building"...Taking the initiative to consistently meet or exceed (external and internal) customer expectations and specifications...STARTING SALARY RANGE$19.80 to $25.24 per hour.
