Job description
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding
Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality
Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist
Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists
Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems
Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols
Experience with Sectra, Epic, PenRad applications highly preferred
Educate patients on breast health, including self-exam techniques
Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed
Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas
Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively
Qualifications:
Minimum associates degree in Applied Science required
Completion of 3D/tomographic training required
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current state license as a mammography technologist/radiography technologist
Up to date continuing education experience as requiredExperience with EMR and imaging systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
