Job Overview
A law firm seeks a midlevel associate with 4-5 years of experience to join its M&A and Private Equity Group in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on supporting the Beauty and Wellness practice, advising on equity and debt financings, and handling M&A and private equity transactions.
Duties
Manage due diligence and draft transaction documents for M&A and private equity deals.
Negotiate transaction documents for equity financings.
Coordinate with internal legal specialists on regulatory, tax, employment, and IP matters.
Counsel on corporate governance and advise on joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
Requirements
4-5 years of law firm experience in M&A and private equity transactions.
Experience advising early- and growth-stage companies on financings.
Preferred experience in beauty, personal care, wellness, or consumer products sectors.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admitted to the bar in the state of California.
Skills
Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
