n$91,700.00 - $150,800.00
nPosition Summary:
nThe Manager of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting data, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decisions. This role manages accounting staff, monitors financial processes, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
nKey Responsibilities:
nFinancial Reporting & Close Process
nnnManage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for site
n
nnPrepare and review trial balance
n
nnEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting
n
nnCoordinate with Finance to analyze variances and provide insights to leadership
n
n nGeneral Accounting
nnnOversee general ledger activities and account reconciliations
n
nnReview journal entries for accuracy and compliance
n
nnEnsure proper accounting of revenue, expenses, and accruals
n
nnCoordinate with Corporate functions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency
n
n nCompliance & Controls
nnnMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
n
nnEnsure compliance with SOX/GAAP and company policies
n
nnWork with Corporate Accounting to support internal and external audits
n
nnEnsure adherence to local tax and regulatory requirements
n
n nTeam Leadership
nnnSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
n
nnAssign tasks, set goals, and evaluate performance
n
nnPromote continuous improvement and professional growth within the team
n
nnBe an active member of the site leadership team
n
n nProcess Improvement
nnnIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
n
nnImplement automation and best practices to increase efficiency
n
nnSupport ERP or financial system upgrades and implementations
n
n nQualifications:
nEducation and Experience:
nnnBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
n
nn5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
n
nnExperience in a supervisory or management role
n
nnExperience in a manufacturing environment utilizing standard costing
n
n nSkills & Competencies
nnnStrong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
n
nnEffective analytical and problem-solving skills
n
nnStrong leadership and team management abilities
n
nnHigh attention to detail and accuracy
n
nnEffective communication and interpersonal skills
n
nnProficiency in accounting systems and ERP software (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, D365, QAD)
n
nnAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, analysis)
n
n nWorking Conditions
