Job description

Celerity started in 2022 as a side hustle and has grown into a tech-forward, fast-moving firm that’s anything but traditional. We believe people, not spreadsheets, are the real key to success in accounting.

At Celerity, you’ll work closely with business owners and their internal teams, primarily via Google Meet, Slack, and email. Most of our clients aren’t finance pros, they rely on us to explain the numbers clearly and guide them with practical, real-world advice.

In a typical week, you'll spend roughly:

~50% building, automating, and improving systems (NetSuite, integrations, internal workflows)

~25% hands-on accounting and close support

~15% working directly with clients on systems, implementations, and cleanups

~10% internal meetings, training, and documenting what you've built

What you'll do

Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and accrual-basis accounting for a set of clients in NetSuite.

Find repetitive work across our clients and fix it through templates, imports, saved searches, workflows, or tools like Zapier.

Improve how our team uses NetSuite, including reports, dashboards, and standard setups.

Lead the systems side of new client onboardings and cleanups.

Document what works and train the team on it.

Work directly with clients and their teams.

Help improve existing processes with the implementation and use of AI.

What you bring

4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting or CAS.

Solid close, reconciliation, and accrual experience.

Problem solving & action oriented. Proactive at identifying solutions.

Good judgement on financial data for clients.

An interest in automation and efficiency, with an example you can share of something you made better.

Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.

Clear communication with non-finance business owners.

Nice to have

Experience with Zapier, Make, or AI tools.

Experience supervising or reviewing staff work.
