In this role, you’ll guide a group of 2–5 developers, engineers, and analysts who keep the organization’s core business systems running smoothly. Reporting directly to the VP of Information Technology, you’ll balance people leadership with operational delivery, working closely with business partners, managing vendor relationships, and driving continuous improvement across the application landscape.

If you enjoy building strong teams, solving business problems through technology, and being the go‑to person for enterprise systems, this could be the right next step for you.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Grow the Team

Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop a team of 2–5 technical professionals

Establish clear goals, hold regular one‑on‑ones, and deliver timely performance feedback

Build a team culture rooted in ownership, collaboration, and ongoing learning

Drive Day‑to‑Day Execution

Oversee daily team operations to ensure work is delivered with quality, efficiency, and compliance

Manage workload distribution, assigning resources for configuration, enhancements, and system maintenance

Track performance metrics and report progress and outcomes to leadership

Spot gaps in team processes and put practical, scalable improvements in place

Make sure the team provides realistic estimates, sets priorities, and communicates changes and trade‑offs clearly

Proactively monitor systems for potential issues and elevate complex, cross‑platform problems when needed

Shape Solutions and Standards

Support the configuration and upkeep of business applications to meet evolving operational needs

Ensure new solutions fit within the existing architecture and the roadmap set by senior leadership

Choose suitable internal or approved external technologies in line with team standards

Use knowledge of the business, customer needs, and market offerings to inform design decisions

Partner Across the Business

Work alongside HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other teams to align priorities and clear roadblocks

Act as a primary contact for internal stakeholders and vendors on routine application matters

Coordinate with software vendors on support requests, day‑to‑day needs, and contract renewals

Keep management and stakeholders informed on team status and priorities

Maintain Compliance

Support adherence to internal policies and industry frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II and ISO 14001

Keep accurate records and assist with audits and reporting as required

Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives within daily operations

What You Bring

5+ years of experience designing, supporting, or maintaining enterprise business applications

At least 1 year of experience in a people manager or team lead role

A proven track record of leading small teams and delivering measurable outcomes

Strong analytical ability, with comfort turning data into actionable plans

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience

Nice to Have

Experience supporting or administering platforms such as ERP, MRP, CRM, WMS, TMS, OMS, or OT systems

Working knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, SQL Server, Windows Server, and cloud deployments

Background in an operations‑driven or production‑focused environment

This is a hybrid, primarily office‑based role with occasional travel to operational sites and other locations. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
