We are seeking a collaborative and customer-focused professional to join our team in a field-facing technical leadership role. In this position, you will partner with customers, sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver expert guidance, support solution adoption, and help ensure successful outcomes throughout the customer journey. You will serve as a trusted technical resource, helping translate customer needs into practical solutions while contributing valuable market and product insights back to the business.
Responsibilities
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, helping them evaluate, implement, and optimize solutions.
Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and present technical capabilities effectively.
Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and application guidance tailored to customer needs.
Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalation management in partnership with internal teams.
Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to product management, engineering, and leadership.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
Contribute to training materials, application notes, and other technical resources that support customer success.
Collaborate across functions to improve processes, product readiness, and the overall customer experience.
Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other industry events as needed.
Lead, coach, and support members of the field applications team to achieve performance and development goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Five or more years of experience in field applications, technical sales support, customer engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting product demonstrations, implementations, or technical evaluations.
Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience is preferred.
Ability to travel as required to support customer and business needs.
Preferred Attributes
Knowledge of CalAmp solutions or experienced in Telematics, IoT, connected devices, fleet management, SaaS, and/or wireless communications.
Highly organized, proactive, and attentive to detail with experience supporting enterprise and international accounts, or complex deployments.
Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment.
Strong customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness and follow-through.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, products, and customer requirements.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
