Do you want to help build next-generation services and contribute to linked data applications? Then consider applying for the Metadata Services Unit (MSU) Manager position.
Reporting to the Director of Resource Discovery Services (RDS), the MSU Manager oversees a unit that performs data extraction and enrichment, schema mappings and transformations, research data information management, and development of linked data services. The unit’s work involves a high level of collaboration with colleagues across the library and broader communities in developing and maintaining data standards, practices, and tools.
Responsibilities
Oversees a unit that performs data extraction and enrichment, schema mappings and transformations, research data information management, and development of linked data services.
Collaborates with colleagues across the library and broader communities to develop and maintain data standards, practices, and tools.
Provides supervision and mentorship and plays a key role in building the metadata community of practice at Yale.
Participates in regional, national, and international professional activities to contribute to the profession and to grow professionally as a librarian.
As part of the Resource Discovery Services leadership team, participates in the development and implementation of department- and library-wide goals and initiatives.
