Job description
Higher Vocational Education (Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering or similar).
5 years relevant experience in a similar position.

Job Description
To ensure an optimal operating engineering department, engineering work being completed efficiently, with high quality and in time in order to take care of a safe execution and a satisfied customer.
Key Responsibilities and key result area’s
Responsible for department and engineering project budgets.
Report and keep track on project status, change hours (changes outside scope of project), engineering performance during a project.
Provide input in favor of a project evaluation.
Receive feedback on practicality of the operations and in case required discuss with team.
Advise and interpret of the technical feasibility of a QA / tender request in case requested.
Check and approve Engineering documents.
Provide input, manage, and supervise engineering strategy.
Responsible for coaching and development of team members and regular check ins to ensure employees are doing well and department/company goals are achieved.
Manage and oversee the work to be performed by the teams and adjust where necessary including option of outsourcing engineering work.
Lead and further develop the department, both in terms of strategy and human capital (right person right seat).
Identify short and long-term company goals and translate these to department goals.
Responsible for coaching and development of team members and regular check ins to ensure employees are doing well and department/company goals are achieved.
Through your department team ensure complete, accurate, and timely execution and delivery.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by manager or supervisor.
