Manager, Plumbing & Fire Suppression ServicesWe are an equal employment opportunity employer. Successful candidate must navigate NYC's strict building and environmental codes. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Perform mandated field inspections under NYC Local Law 152, evaluating gas piping systems for code compliance, safety, and regulatory adherenceWork with Energo staff to schedule, manage, and perform required NYC gas inspections, including preparation and submission of filings, obtaining gas authorizations, and securing final signoffs from the NYC DOB and relevant authoritiesConduct gas inspections across residential, commercial, and institutional propertiesPerform gas leak surveys and detection using approved testing methods and equipmentRespond to the gas shutdown emergencies, evaluate the conditions requiring correction and develop a proposal for the necessary work. Coordinate with the utility company and NYC DOB as required to facilitate the restoration of gas serviceAssist in training other Energo employees to perform and support the gas-related work described herein, with the goal of developing the skills and knowledge necessary to independently perform such work in the futureManage and oversee fire suppression division including piping installation, repair, and maintenance projectsCoordinate and execute full-service system projects including new installations, system upgrades, repairs, and maintenanceCoordinate inspections, approvals, and regulatory compliance with NYC DEP, DOB and FDNYOversee gas and fire suppression job progress from planning through completion, ensuring timely completion and regulatory complianceReview architectural plans and specifications; coordinate with project teams and subcontractorsManage client relationships, project planning, material procurement and quality controlEnsure compliance with NYC Building Codes, gas codes and fire codesPerform backflow prevention device installation, testing and certification as applicableAttend and complete relevant on-the-job training as requiredPosition RequirementsJob requirementsMinimum 5 years' experience in a similar positionHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Clean Driver's LicenseNYC DOB Fire Suppression License, Class B preferredNYC DOB Journeyman PlumberNYC DOB Fire Suppression Piping InstallerNYC DOB Filing Representative – Class 1NYS Certified Backflow Prevention Device TesterFDNY Citywide Sprinkler Systems CAT S12US DOT Operator Qualification Tas 86 / 87 /87AOSHA 62Flexible work schedule, including 6 or 7 days a week, or extended hours, as necessaryGeographical knowledge of NYC service area and map reading skillsPossess a positive, can-do attitudeMUST be a team playerFull-Time/Part-TimeFull-TimeBenefitsHealth Insurance, Dental, Vision, 401(K) with matching, Health Reimbursement AccountPay$125,000 - $175,000Exempt/Non-ExemptExemptLocationWoodsideAbout the OrganizationEnergo is a rapidly growing energy supplier that provides a broad range of energy products and services to customers in NY and surrounding areas.
