*5,000 Hiring Bonus*

The Manager – Psychiatric Nursing provides oversight of nursing operations throughout the agency’s schools and outpatient services and provides direct supervision of program-level Psychiatric Nurses located at multiple sites. The incumbent provides nursing consultation to physicians, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNPs), Directors, Assistant Directors, Program Managers, treatment team members, and the Medical Director as needed. The position includes providing nursing services for students/consumers. The Manager – Psychiatric Nursing uses medical/clinical skills to ensure best practice nursing, medical, and clinical services and assists with removing medically related barriers to the academic and behavioral progress of students/consumers.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: RN or BSN

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience AND 2 years of supervisory experience. School nursing experience preferred .

Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:

Valid PA Nursing License

Act 33/34 Clearances

FBI Clearance

Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License

Scope of Responsibility

Total number of FTEs managed, including through subordinate managers/supervisors: 5-20

Total number of direct reports: 2-9

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provides direct staff supervision of program psychiatric nursing staff, including assessment, decision-making, and communications related to hiring, staff assignment, coaching, counseling, discipline, and ongoing and annual performance evaluations.

Interviews and hires nurses for the programs as needed.

Ensures coverage for nurses as needed.

Oversees and coordinates the development, interpretation, and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practices.

Supervises the medication administration process to be followed at WFS Schools and Outpatient Services sites. Ensures and monitors adherence to this process.

Oversees nursing development of the student health record.

Acts in compliance with nursing licensure regulations and best practices, and program regulations, including maintenance of complete, accurate, and timely medical records.
