JOB TITLE: Manager, Software Engineering
LOCATION: Irving, TX
DUTIES:
Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications
oversee the implementation of software applications and systems
build scalable system design, data modeling, performance optimization and trade off analysis
collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
define system architecture and ensure adherence to design and coding standards
manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion
conduct code reviews and ensure quality assurance processes are followed
troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments
coordinate with cross-functional teams including QA and operations
ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
participate in process improvements and adoption of software development best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Tech Lead, Project Manager, or in a related/similar position.
Experience therein to include 5 years in software development using Java/J2EE, applications debugging, testing, and performance tuning, and working with version control systems
3 years in developing web-based applications using Spring Boot framework, SOAP/REST web services, and object-oriented design and development
2 years in Apache Kafka and JMS messaging technologies
1 year in event driven distributed system design, AWS, JIRA, Confluence, SQL and NOSQL data modeling, in-memory databases, and processing streaming data with Apache Flink.
