About the Role:
A pioneering Houston-based real estate brokerage with a successful 32-year track record is seeking an experienced Managing Broker. As the owner prepares to retire by the end of 2026, the firm is looking for a proven team leader to guide the company in a new direction.
Currently, the brokerage handles both residential and commercial properties, specializing in working with investment groups on land transactions throughout the Houston metro area. The position offers a base salary plus commission opportunities tied to an existing portfolio of 82 full-commission MLS listings.
The ideal candidate brings strong brokerage leadership, technical skills, and experience with modern marketing and social media to guide the company’s next chapter.
Daily Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management: Oversee and drive the sales strategy for the existing pipeline of 82 full-commission MLS listings.
Leadership & Transition: Work closely with the retiring owner to ensure a seamless transition of operations, client relationships, and team leadership by the end of 2026.
Transaction Oversight: Manage end-to-end commercial, residential, and complex land transactions with local and regional investment groups.
Marketing & Growth: Develop and execute modern digital marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and email outreach to attract new clients and market current listings.
Operational Compliance: Ensure all brokerage activities, contracts, and marketing materials comply with TREC regulations and local guidelines.
Agent Support & Recruitment: Lead, mentor, and grow the existing team of agents, providing guidance on deal structuring and market analysis.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of success in the Houston real estate market, with specific experience in commercial properties and land transactions.
Strong technical proficiency with industry platforms, including HAR.com, CoStar, and LoopNet.
Demonstrated experience deploying modern marketing strategies, CRM tools, and professional social media campaigns.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage high-level investor relationships.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a clear vision for driving a legacy company into its next phase of growth.
