Job description
A leading global investment advisory and portfolio management firm is seeking a Managing Director to join its Private Client team. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing sophisticated multi-asset class portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices, while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and helping drive business growth. Client relationships range from approximately $100 million to several billion dollars in assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management and oversight of customized investment portfolios for private clients.
Develop investment strategy, asset allocation recommendations, and portfolio construction decisions across public and private markets.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, family offices, boards, and investment committees.
Conduct investment manager due diligence, selection, and ongoing monitoring.
Partner with business development teams to support client acquisition and relationship growth.
Mentor and develop junior investment professionals while contributing to a high-performance team culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
12-15+ years of investment management experience within an investment firm, large institutional investor, OCIO platform, wealth management firm, or family office.
Deep expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and capital markets.
Experience advising sophisticated high-net-worth families, family offices, or institutional clients.
Strong relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
Established network within the family office and broader investment community preferred.
