Job description

At Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse, we create memorable dining experiences through Craveably Crafted™ Food & Beer and Uncommon Hospitality.

Our Managing Partners are the leaders of their restaurants — responsible for building strong teams, growing the business, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and creating a place where both guests and employees want to return again and again.

Parry’s restaurants are fast-paced, high-volume, and community-centered. We give our Managing Partners meaningful ownership over their business, along with the systems, resources, and Support Center partnership needed to succeed.

This is more than a traditional General Manager role. We’re looking for operators who think like owners, understand the business behind the restaurant, develop great leaders, and take pride in building something successful within their community.

Role Overview

Managing Partners are accountable for the overall performance and long-term success of their restaurant, including sales growth, profitability, guest experience, team development, and operational execution.

You’ll lead both Front and Back of House, develop the leadership team, understand the financial drivers of the business, and build store-specific strategies based on the needs of your guests, team, and local market.

Managing Partners are expected to know their business — not just what the numbers are, but why they are happening and what to do about them.

You’ll lead from the floor, build relationships with guests and the community, identify opportunities, and create action plans that move the business forward.

We provide the brand, systems, and support. We expect our Managing Partners to understand their restaurant well enough to determine how to win in their market.

Managing Partners also participate directly in the financial success of their restaurant through monthly profit sharing.

Responsibilities + Duties

Build, coach, and develop a strong restaurant leadership team across Front and Back of House

Establish clear expectations and accountability for performance, hospitality, culture, and execution

Develop leaders capable of taking on greater responsibility and create a strong internal talent pipeline

Own the health of the restaurant’s team by attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining strong talent

Create a culture where leaders communicate effectively, solve problems, and take ownership of results

Lead by example and reinforce Parry’s standards through consistent coaching and follow-through

Drive Sales + Community Growth

Own restaurant sales growth by understanding the local market and identifying opportunities to grow the business

Build regulars through purposeful guest engagement and meaningful relationships

Maintain a visible leadership presence on the floor — engaging guests, coaching hospitality in real time, and leading guest recovery when needed

Build relationships within the local community and identify partnerships, events, and opportunities that increase awareness and traffic

Develop and execute store-specific sales and local marketing strategies

Execute Parry’s Hospitality Model and bring Uncommon Hospitality to life through daily leadership and coaching

Own Financial Performance

Take ownership of restaurant profitability and understand the financial drivers behind business results

Read and understand the P&L, identify trends and opportunities, and translate financial performance into action

Own labor strategy and deployment, ensuring schedules support guest demand, team effectiveness, and financial goals

Own inventory, ordering, waste, and AvT (Actual vs. Theoretical) disciplines

Use financial and operational data to identify root causes, solve problems, and improve performance

Hold restaurant leaders accountable for managing costs and executing financial priorities

Lead Operational Excellence

Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and restaurant readiness

Ensure consistent execution of Parry’s systems and operating standards across Front and Back of House

Ensure smooth shift transitions and strong communication between restaurant leaders

Regularly assess restaurant performance, identify root causes and opportunities, and build clear action plans

Balance big-picture business strategy with hands-on leadership during restaurant operations

Uphold company standards for professionalism, appearance, and execution

Partner with Support Center teams on training, systems, initiatives, and resources that support restaurant success

Qualifications + Skills

5+ years of progressive restaurant leadership experience with significant General Manager-level responsibility

Proven success leading a high-volume, full-service restaurant

Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand a P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and the financial drivers of restaurant performance

Demonstrated ability to grow sales, improve restaurant performance, or successfully lead a business through change

Track record of building strong leadership teams and developing internal talent

Strong systems orientation with the ability to create consistency, accountability, and follow-through

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think like an owner and take responsibility for business results

Strong guest-service instincts and a genuine passion for hospitality

Ability to understand a local market and translate opportunities into actionable business strategies

Effective communicator who can set expectations, coach performance, and build buy-in across a diverse team

Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on leadership in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

Monthly profit sharing tied to restaurant performance

Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision benefits

Accrued paid time off (PTO)

401(k) with company match
