Custodian IIThe Mansfield Facilities Department is seeking a hardworking, reliable, team player to be part of their Mansfield Community Center crew. This position requires someone who is going to take initiative and ownership of the building's cleaning and care. The Mansfield Community Center is a vibrant part of the Town with a strong focus on customer service. The successful candidate must become pool certified within 60 days of taking the position--training provided.Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 11:30 p.m. with the opportunity for a Saturday shift, 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. once per month at contracted overtime.Salary Range: $20.73 - $24.45 hourlyBenefits: Full benefits package including health/vision/dental insurance, paid time-off, retirement pension plan, etc.Qualifications: 1. Certification of ability to perform job functions signed by a Licensed physician. 2. Ability to read basic operating instructions and communicate effectively. 3. Demonstrated aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities. 4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.Reports To: Director and Deputy Director of Building Maintenance, School Principal, Building Administrator, Head Custodian or designee.Job Goal: To provide building occupants and students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop.Performance Responsibilities:Conforms to Board policies and administrative regulations.Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times (including, but not limited to, snow removal, cutting and trimming lawns, cleaning walks, playground, parking areas and building maintenance).From time to time may receive and handle supplies.Replaces and removes furniture.Guards and cares for school property and services of building equipment.Cares for and displays the American Flag in the appropriate manner.Provides preventive maintenance as specified by the director or deputy director of maintenance or designee.Sweeps daily and dusts furniture in building rooms.Cleans corridors daily.Scrubs, hoses down and disinfects toilets and bathroom floor daily.Cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains.Does cleaning and polishing.Empties wastebaskets and barrels as required.Performs such other task as my from time to time be assigned by the administration.
