Job Title Manual MachinistLocation: Davenport Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM Pay Range: $27-$35About the CompanyExpress Employment is seeking a Manual Machinist to join our client's team.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.Manufacture, repair, and modify precision metal components to specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.Select appropriate tooling and determine proper speeds, feeds, and machining methods.Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.Required QualificationsPrevious experience with manual machining equipment and processes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Ability to work safely and independently in an industrial machine shop environment.Ability to stand and work around machinery for extended periods.Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with manual lathes and mills in a production or job shop environment.Knowledge of tooling, metal properties, speeds, feeds, and machining tolerances.Experience machining a variety of metals and materials.Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.Previous experience performing machine setup and determining appropriate tooling.Experience with precision inspection and quality control practices.What We OfferHealth, dental, and vision benefitsEarned holiday pay401K
