Job description
Manufacturing Technician IiTops Staffing is hiring a manufacturing technician for a union manufacturing facility offering excellent training and a structured wage progression program. This role is ideal for candidates with basic manufacturing experience who are comfortable using hand and power tools and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing. This position functions as a utility technician within the facility, supporting multiple areas of the production process. While you may assist in different departments, the role has a strong focus on mechanical assembly, product testing, and repair work. The company offers a strong training program designed to develop employees with entry to intermediate skill levels. Employees receive scheduled raises every three months during their first year as they learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.Key responsibilities:Mechanical assembly of manufactured productsProduct testing, troubleshooting, and repair workOperate shop equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, and cutting toolsAssist with shipping/receiving, painting, washing, and general production supportFollow work orders, drawings, and engineering specificationsRecord test results and production data as requiredQualifications:Basic manufacturing or production experience preferredExperience using hand and power toolsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnReliable attendance and ability to work as part of a teamPay progression:Starting pay: $21.70/hour3 months: $22.75/hour6 months: $23.90/hour9 months: $25.00/hour12 months: $26.35/hourAdditional pay: Night shift: +$1.50/hourShift times:1st: 6am - 2:30pm2nd: 2pm - 10:30pm3rd: 10pm - 6:30amIf you have manufacturing experience and want to grow your mechanical skills in a company that invests in training and advancement, apply today through Tops Staffing.
