Job description

Uses various hand and power tools and operates equipment which may include jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses in order to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and/or assemble. Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements. Monitors quality of products and raw materials. May read simple blueprints. Performs simple routine maintenance and cleaning. Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions. Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision. Typical job titles include: Press Operator, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain complex light automation equipment with minimal supervision.Ensure the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing processes.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.Maintain accurate production records and reports.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.Train new team members.Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.Proven ability to operate light automation equipment independently.Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Teamwork skills.Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if necessary.High school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and write in English for purposes of filling out various production documentation (SOP's, Lot Control, etc.)Basic math skillsMeasuring skillsManual dexterity required for operating machinery, parts and computersPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
