Candidate Source is working with a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the Petersburg, VA area that is looking for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Associates. In this role you'll support day-to-day production in a clean, controlled environment: preparing equipment, weighing and compounding materials, running sterilization and packaging equipment, and keeping production areas to strict quality standards. This is a full-time role on a team that makes medicines people rely on.
Shifts & Pay 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm $21/hr
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm $23.10/hr
What You'll Do Clean, set up, and operate production equipment, including compounding, sterilizer, isolator, and packaging equipment
Weigh ingredients and compound product by following batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Prepare cleaning and sanitizing solutions and clean controlled and classified production areas on a set schedule
Restock components, materials, and supplies across processing areas
Move materials and finished product to and from staging according to the production schedule
Document your work accurately and follow cGMP and safety requirements
Take part in daily shift meetings to share updates and issues with the team
What You Need High school diploma or GED
Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred (2-3 years is ideal). Experience in another regulated or cleanroom setting such as food, medical device, or lab work is a plus
Comfortable gowning up and working in a cleanroom environment for your full shift
Strong reading and writing skills, with the ability to follow detailed written procedures exactly
Comfortable with math for weighing and measuring
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and to stand, walk, and reach throughout the shift
Must pass a drug screen (drug-free workplace)
