Job description
Upstream Manufacturing TechnicianThe Upstream Manufacturing Technician supports biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations by performing media preparation, inoculum preparation, sampling, and other production activities. This role requires working in a GMP manufacturing environment while following safety and quality procedures. Responsibilities:Perform media preparation, inoculum preparation, and sampling activities.Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.Complete production documentation accurately.Operate and clean manufacturing equipment.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Work effectively with the manufacturing team to meet production goals.Education & Experience:High School Diploma or GED required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred.0–2 years of manufacturing, laboratory, or pharmaceutical/biotech experience preferred.Required Skills:Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.Strong attention to detail.Good communication and teamwork skills.Basic computer skills.Ability to work in a GMP/cleanroom environment.Physical Requirements:Ability to wear cleanroom gowning/PPE.Stand for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
