Manufacturing AssociateWe are seeking dedicated Manufacturing Associates to join our manufacturing floor team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling filters, inspecting them, and potentially operating machinery. Additionally, you will pick and pack orders for shipment.ResponsibilitiesInspect paperwork and labels to ensure proper quantities are recorded, labels are printed correctly, and numbers on paperwork match with material to be handled.Inspect, process, and pack finished squares, discs, or cartridges.Perform secondary functions if required, such as heat sealing squares or cartridges.Operate machines, tools, jigs, or fixtures in the construction of cartridges or processing of media.Seek advice or assistance regarding quality standards or machine functions as necessary.Observe all safety and plant rules, and report any safety hazards to supervision.Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area.Prepare and turn in production sheets and checklists, maintaining records as required.Perform duties in accordance with standard work procedures.Conduct all quality inspections of material.Handle hazardous waste if required.Carry out other miscellaneous duties as assigned by department supervision or leadership, ensuring all essential functions of the position are performed.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Basic math and reading skills.Ability to use simple measuring devices.Additional Skills & QualificationsReliability and dependability.Excellent attendance.Ability to read and write in English.Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Willingness to wear a hair net, steel toes, a lab jacket, and hearing protection.6 months of manufacturing experience is a plus.Why Work Here?Join a company with a rich history, established since the 1800s, that values growth and is aiming to expand by 2026. The work environment varies from clean to occasionally dirty areas. Safety is prioritized, requiring PPE without exception, and no phone usage is allowed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stafford Springs, CT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.69 - $21.69/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
