This role serves as a practical problem-solving resource for the manufacturing operation. You will work directly with machinists, production leaders, programmers, quality personnel, maintenance resources, suppliers, and operations leadership to investigate production and quality concerns, improve process performance, coordinate equipment and facility activities, and remove barriers affecting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and throughput.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working on the shop floor, gathering input from the people closest to the work, analyzing problems, and helping cross-functional teams develop and implement sustainable solutions. This position requires both technical capability and the ability to bring people together, create clarity, establish ownership, and drive actions through completion.
Production Support and Process Improvement
Provide hands-on engineering support for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining operations.
Investigate production issues involving quality, throughput, cycle time, tooling, machine capability, and process stability.
Partner with machinists, programmers, Quality, Maintenance, and production leadership to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and verify sustained results.
Lead improvements that increase productivity, repeatability, equipment utilization, and production flow while reducing scrap, rework, downtime, and setup time.
Manufacturing Process and Quality Support
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including routings, tooling, setups, machining methods, inspection requirements, and production readiness.
Interpret drawings, models, GD&T, customer requirements, and process data to establish practical and reliable manufacturing methods.
Support quality investigations, corrective actions, process controls, inspection methods, and compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
Equipment, Facilities, and Capital Projects
Support equipment installations, machine moves, repairs, facility layouts, capacity expansion, and production-area improvements.
Help evaluate new machinery, tooling, and infrastructure based on capability, capacity, quality, safety, cost, and long-term business needs.
Coordinate equipment-related activities and track actions through completion.
Documentation, Training, and Technical Leadership
Create and maintain practical work instructions, setup sheets, tooling lists, process documentation, layouts, and standard work.
Train employees on process changes, equipment, tooling, setups, and manufacturing controls.
Provide clear technical guidance and build strong working relationships across production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and operations.
This position requires compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations. As such, candidates must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by applicable law (e.g., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or asylee/refugee).

Hands-on experience supporting a machining or precision manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)
Experience working within an AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management system.
Experience with CNC milling, turning, Swiss machining, or multi-axis machining.
Working knowledge of CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, PartMaker, FeatureCAM, or a similar platform.
