Job description
Manufacturing Machine Programmer CNC/CAMAble to set up, plan and execute complete machining operations working from engineering drawings on all CNC production machines. This position is responsible for producing fixtures, tooling and component parts. Responsible for knowledge required to program CNC equipment as well as to utilize CAM programs for multi-axis milling, multi-plane machining, surface machining and turning.• High School or GED Diploma required - Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred• 3-5 years of experience with CNC programming, and operating a CNC machine• Experience programming in Master CAM /Feature CAM or equivalent• Experience modeling in SolidWorks/SolidEdge• Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming• Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines• Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machining resources• Strong mathematical skills and blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities• Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposesMust be able to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyDevelop CNC programs using Master CAM/Feature CAM based on engineering drawings and modelsConfigure tools and ensure efficient productionAnalyze drawings, blueprint, and design data to calculate correct part dimensions for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed ratesMonitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipmentMake mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts meet quantity and quality requirementsUse precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges to check workRead instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure part dimensions within tenthsCommunicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and qualityDetect errors or irregularities, make corrections and ensure an audit trail for all program changesSeeing: Required for visual inspection of work and/or part(s)Speaking: RequiredHearing: RequiredStanding: OccasionallyWalking: OftenSitting: FrequentlyLifting: Occasionally, up to 75-poundsCarrying: Occasionally, up to 50-poundsPushing: Rarely, up to 100-poundsPulling: Rarely, up to 100-poundsClimbing: RarelyBalancing: OccasionallyBending: FrequentlyTwisting: FrequentlyReaching: FrequentlyGrasping/Handling: Frequently, for dexterity, fine finger handlingStooping/Crouching: FrequentlyKneeling: OccasionallyCrawling: RarelyEnvironmental Conditions: Inside: 98% Outside: 2% Temperature Conditions: Controlled –in Excess of 70-degrees – occasionallyKnight Enterprises Management, L.L.C. is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability status, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other protected factor by country, regional or local law.
