This position works with and supports all co-workers and teams within the production process.The Role:This position interfaces directly with Manufacturing Project Engineer and production to design and maintain the manufacturing process for fabrication of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.Responsibilities & QualificationsResponsibilities:Develop and improve production process efficiencies for continuous improvementProgram computer-controlled assemblies, soldering, and inspection equipmentCreate thermal profiles for soldering processesResearch equipment and tooling needs for manufacturingWork to reduce cost and scrapUse and create work instructions and manufacturing instructionsUse equipment manuals to troubleshoot and resolves system equipment issuesAssist with production machine start-up/shut-down as neededAssists Production Machine Operators in troubleshooting equipment problems successfully, work with leadership on training and process improvementsParticipates in continuous improvement activitiesComplies and follows all company safety policies and proceduresOperates production equipment when production is short-staffedBe a mentor for production operatorsPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications include but not limited to:Experience working in manufacturing requiredExperience in circuit board assembly preferred2-year Technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of productivity tools, examples may include Microsoft Office and quality management softwareAbility to use hand/power toolsDemonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professional and respectful communication to othersAbility to work with minimal supervision and guidanceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective organization and prioritization skillsDemonstrate high attention to detailUnderstanding of and ability to use continuous improvement toolsThe ability to work extended hours and weekends on a rotating schedule if neededAbility to pass standard position assessment within 90 days of employmentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsFrequent standing, bending and reachingTravel:Limited travel between all RIS facilitiesInfrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be requiredWork Environment:Manufacturing production floor
