Manufacturing Quality Inspector – ElectronicsJob Location: Rochester, NYJob Duration: 6 Months on W2 potential to extendWorking Hours: 7 AM-3:30 PMJob Description:Performing first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, equipment and document results.Coordinate the collection and disposition of purged material.Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection.Works from written procedures, drawings, sketches and specifications.Generates Engineering Change Requests to correct drawing issues noted during inspection.Adapts inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary.Skills You Bring:Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred2+ years of related experienceIPC 610 and 620 certifications preferredInspection of sheet metal and/or cables & wire assembly preferredPiece part inspection preferredExperience with Oracle, Agile, MS Office and Copilot preferredRequires inspection experience, an understanding of inspection techniques, reading, writing and intermediate mathematical skills and the ability to use specialized equipment, read difficult instructions, maintain written records, interpret and utilize blueprints and engineering drawingsMicrosoft office experienceDatabase management experiencePhysical Demands and Working Conditions:Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of timeRegularly requires good manual dexterity and coordinationOccasionally moves/positions objects up to 25 lbsAbility to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the timeMust be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder levelMust be able to exchange accurate informationOperates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environmentAbility to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryDedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heatNoise level in the work environment is usually average
