Manufacturing Specialist – Direct Hire (N Wichita, KS)Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading industrial grease manufacturer in N. Wichita, KS. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and is committed to safety and quality.Position OverviewThe Manufacturing Specialist monitors and operates production kettles used in industrial grease manufacturing. This role involves handling chemical raw materials, staging and pre-weighing ingredients, following precise formulations, and using computerized process controls. Candidates must be comfortable working around high heat, pressure, and occasional chemical exposure.Key ResponsibilitiesManage raw materials from receiving through productionStage, pre-weight, and add materials according to defined proceduresOperate, monitor, and shut down manufacturing equipmentPerform in-process testing and record accurate inventory transactionsClean kettles, lines, and work areas per safety and quality standardsIdentify and report mechanical or material issuesWhat You BringStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentComfort with technology and computerized control systemsBasic math competencyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and move 55-gallon drumsHigh School diploma or GED requiredExperience in chemical or petroleum manufacturing preferredWork EnvironmentThis role involves exposure to high temperatures, moving equipment, and occasional fumes. Hearing protection and fitted respiratory masks may be required. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and material handling are part of daily operations.Schedule & PayFull-time, non-exempt1st Shift: 5:00am–2:00pm2nd Shift: 1:30pm–10:30pmMonday–FridayStarting at $18/hourNo travel required
