Job description
Manufacturing ManagerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise a shift of workers building subassemblies and unitsCommunicate with lead workers, planners and others as necessary to review status of jobs and prioritiesFacilitate a smooth transition of work and products between shifts and among work groupsReview product prints, material lists, bill of materials and such to determine production methods and identify needs and requirementsAnticipate, follow up and resolve problems, material shortages and equipment repairsEstimate personnel needs and assign work to meet objectivesManage staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and improve staffOther duties may be assignedDesired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough familiarity with related manufacturing operationsKnowledge of the company's policies, practices and procedures with the ability to work within parametersGood time management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to exercise discretion and independent judgmentGood people skills with the ability to evaluate, coach, and motivate employeesGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.Desired Education, Certifications and Experience3-4+ years manufacturing or related work experienceB.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experiencePrevious supervisory experienceOur pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
