Job description
Manufacturing SupervisorThis position reports to the Manufacturing Production Manager and will assist in the planning, organizing, and monitoring of assigned departments. The manufacturing supervisor works across all lines/departments to ensure that production meets or exceeds the minimum daily standard, ensuring quality of product being produced and/or packaged and ensuring on-hand inventory reporting accuracy for both raw material and finished product.ResponsibilitiesProficient level of department product knowledgeManages a single shift of up to 40 employeesSupervises daily activities of production employeesSends employee time off records daily to payrollPlans and coordinates daily production activities to ensure on time completion of product. Completes necessary daily production reportsDrives continuous improvement efforts to create a world class operationEnsures compliance with all safety procedures and regulationsEnsures that product quality standards are maintained.Oversees training and coaching of all employees to ensure adequate understanding of safety, quality and production procedures.Ensures that departmental production goals are efficiently met.Applies lean/six sigma tools to eliminate process waste and variation.Reports performance metrics and improvement activities.Engages employees in improvement activitiesQualifications2-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentComputer literate: MS Word/Excel, Kronos, Oracle, JD EdwardsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsOccasional bending, pushing/pulling, and reachingEducationBS in Management or other related field or equivalent experienceJob InfoJob Identification 4902Job Category Production LeadershipJob Schedule Full timeJob Shift DayLocations 1 Door Dr, Mount Hope, OH, 44660, USBrand Wayne Dalton
