Base Salary: $128,400–$185,000 + Annual Target Bonus

A leading manufacturing organization is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Plant Technical Manager to join its leadership team in the greater Phoenix area.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in plastics manufacturing, plastics packaging, and/or injection molding operations.
This is a highly visible plant leadership role responsible for maintenance, technical operations, equipment reliability, capital execution, and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Why This Role Matters
The Plant Technical Manager will have a significant impact on the performance of the facility—leading technical teams and partnering closely with Operations and Quality to improve safety, equipment reliability, product quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and developing maintenance, facilities, technical, and continuous improvement teams
• Improving equipment reliability and manufacturing process performance
• Providing technical leadership for troubleshooting, process optimization, and operational challenges
• Leading capital and expense projects from planning through execution
• Strengthening preventive and strategic maintenance programs
• Driving continuous improvement and implementation of new technologies
• Supporting plant quality initiatives through data-driven problem solving
• Providing leadership for plant control and manufacturing information systems
• Managing relationships with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and technical vendors
• Partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and other plant functions
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
• Approximately 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience , including supervisory or management responsibility
• Strong technical, engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing operations expertise
• Demonstrated success leading and developing technical and skilled-trades teams
• Experience with capital projects, equipment reliability, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong engineering aptitude and hands-on problem-solving capability
• Ability to work effectively across multiple functions within a manufacturing organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• Plastics packaging and/or injection molding experience is highly desirable
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range is $128,400–$185,000 , depending on experience and qualifications, plus an annual target bonus .
