Industrial FabricatorGFL Environmental is looking for an Industrial Fabricator to join our team in Byron Center, MI. This role is responsible for fabricating finished goods using industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders. Compensation range is $20-22/hr. Full-time permanent position with benefit package.We are willing to train the right candidate for this position. Our employees are affectionately known as team green, a name that unites us all under our shared purpose of providing sustainable solutions to enable our customers and communities to be GREEN FOR LIFE!3 weeks PTO annually4 medical plan options including an HSA with employer contribution, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) with an employer matchWork boot reimbursementPaid holidaysEmployee Assistance Program with free counseling services.Key Responsibilities:Review blueprints and daily production plans provided by the Product Manager.Utilize rolls of purchased PVC and Fiberglass materials to fabricate into finished goods.Operate industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders on a daily basis.Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products safely.Perform basic math calculations (adding and subtracting) for material measurements and production tracking.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Requirements:Ability to read, write, and speak English.Proficient ability to utilize hand tools and perform precise measurements with tape measure.Ability to operate a forklift.Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively alone.Strong basic math skills (adding and subtracting).Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds throughout the day.Flexibility to work overtime as required by customer needs.
