Job description

Manufacturing TechnicianLocation: Beavercreek, OH, US, 45431Job Responsibilities:Provide technical support to engineers and scientists on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipmentResponsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assembliesWork from moderately complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketchesDesign and test prototype assemblies and production unitsUse judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specificationsTest, inspect, and repair electronic, optical or mechanical assembliesWork under minimal supervision and may provide guidance to other techniciansCapable of performing related manufacturing processesInterpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rulesEnsure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certificationMay assist in training new team membersInterface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materialsPerform Key Performance Indicators: Meet production deadlines Quality of finished product (Pass/fail rates) Raw material stock levels Compliance outcomes Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditions Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly and rework Some test and repair of various electronic products and mechanical assemblies Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets of significant complexity Fulfill day-to-day facilities work requests submitted by production and office staff, including assembling and installing desks, workstations, shelving, and other furniture. Hang whiteboards, monitors, shelving, signage, and other wall-mounted fixtures in offices, conference rooms, and plant work areas, ensuring proper anchoring and placement. Coordinate and execute minor office and plant space setup, moves, and reconfigurations — including new-hire workstation setup and space prep for new equipment or teams. Perform minor repairs to office and plant spaces (doors, hardware, fixtures, trim, cubicle walls) and escalate larger repair needs to facilities leadership as appropriate. Track and prioritize incoming facilities requests, communicate realistic timelines to requesters, and confirm completion. Maintain an inventory of common furniture, hardware, and mounting supplies, and coordinate replenishment as needed. Coordinate with vendors or building management on larger facilities needs that fall outside routine request scope.Qualifications:Requires an associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related areaMust demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skillsExperienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practicesSoldering and wirebonding experience a plusMust be experienced in the safe handling of chemicalsExperienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and LabviewExperience with MRP a plusMust have good mechanical skillsU.S. Citizenship required.
