We work closely with all divisions of Savant and GE Lighting, a Savant Company.Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform a variety of tasks while working onsite at our Hyannis, MA location.Key ResponsibilitiesOBJECTIVESRework product to meet production goals.Work with Operations to track and ensure completion of rework objectives.Assist the supply chain personnel with activities related to reworking components.DUTIESFollow written procedures.Perform repetitive tasks.Utilize manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.Companion rework. Load software and update firmware on our companion modules.Thermostat conversion.Keypad conversionBuild power distribution unitsComputer skills – learn SalesforcePressing buttons into keypads.This person will also be trained to learn shipping duties, which you will do a few hours per day.Printing labels & quick reference guides QRG's.TECHNOLOGYHome Automation / Smart Home technology products such as: Smart Light Bulbs, Smart Electrical Plugs, Smart Thermostats, Smart Keypads.WORK ENVIRONMENTIndoors, very clean, quiet, temperature controlled.A combination of sitting and standing in the performance of job duties.THE TEAMFriendly, collaborative, helpful and patient.Strong camaraderie among colleagues who take great pride in the quality of their work.Several team members are long-term employees with demonstrated company loyalty and passion for our industry.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBasic computer skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to handle multiple priorities.Attention to detail and ability to perform consistent operations.Experience working in a production environment is a plus, but not necessary. We will train.Good communication skills to identify any issues.Comfortable working with Apple iOS devices.Ability to lift 25 pounds.COMPENSATIONThe pay range is $22 - $25 per hour DOE. The pay range listed is an estimate. Pay at Savant is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.This is a direct-hire position with full benefits including: medical insurance; dental insurance; vision plan; life insurance; pet insurance; FSA / HSA; 12 paid holidays; paid vacation days; 401k plan with employer match.
